Poland
- till 4 April there is a yearly meeting "Pingwinaria" organized by the Polish Linux Users Group, in a mountain city of Krynica. http://pingwinaria.linux.org.pl/ But it's a much smaller and less professional event then any of the one listed on FFII agenda.
Events that are really worth considering, are yearly "Festiwal Nauki" science festival's organized by different cities in Poland.
Several cities and groups of universities organize such festivals, mainly:
- Lower Silesia http://www.festiwal.wroc.pl/ Organized under the patronate of EUSCEA http://www.euscea.org/ Date is not yet determined I think, last year it was 2003-09-11 till 2003-10-18. Probably around the same time this year.
- Torun http://www.festiwal.torun.pl/
2004-04-22 till 2004-04-25.
- Warsaw http://www.icm.edu.pl/festiwal/
- Poznan http://www.festiwal.trylion.com/
and many others. About 13 cities organized such festivals last year. They gather many people, and are the most known science-oriented events for the genral public in Poland.
