FS/OS Telephony Summit 2004
A meeting of opensource telephony nerds, organised by GUUG e.V. in Geilenkirchen near Aachen, in which ffii will participate with a booth in order to learn about the impact of patents in the field of telephony and perhaps to recruit some supporters who are knowledgable in this field.
Purpose
We participate in the event because we expect to
- learn about telecom and patents using a survey form as well as informal talks.
- recruit expert helpers from the telecom field
People
The ffii booth will be manned by
- Erik Josefsson (erjos at ffii org)
- Benjamin Henrion (bh at udev org)
- Peter Gerwinski (peterg at ffii org) (?)
and possibly a few more people. Basic assistance is provided by Holger blasum (blasum), Hartmut Pilch (phm) from ffii and by Martin Schulte from guug.de.
We expect about 30 developers (over the weekend, some have already left on Monday) and about 30 visitors during the conference.
We don't expect other booths to be there.
The exhibition page, especially the 2nd picture, gives an idea of what the exhibition space will look like.
