What is FreeEDem?

FreeEDem is the once considered "education track" of fosdem that is run independently but at the same time with a more or less coordinated schedule.

The public is teachers, educators, and anyone interested by free software and free content (also some developpers who work especially in the field of edcational software) and education as well as anyone interested in IT and education and schools.

FFII is welcome to hold a speech, let's say a short general introduction, that would be aimed at people who do not get a clue (most will have probably never heard about SWPAT)

FFII can also have a booth at Freeedem (conveniently located at less than 1km from fosdem)

How many people are expected on FreeEDem?

Nicolas Pettiaux, one of the organizers:

No evaluation is possible. On the basis of last year education track, possibly 300. But we will in the marketing also focus on schools, teachers and directors and do a press campaign.
