Schedule for 2004: http://www.fosdem.org/2004/index/schedule

What do we have?

  • The opportunity to hold a speech/info session about the current states of software patents in Europe on Sunday, at noon (about half an hour). This in cooperation with OpenStandaarden.be, a Belgian organisation promoting open standards.
  • One stand/booth: At the booths there will be network connectivity (but please try to bring some switches/hubs and network cable if you intend to make use of it), eventually wi-fi (not sure yet), as well as power supply (obviously ;)). Each stand is a table (and 1 or 2 chairs ;)) with a width of about 1m60-1m80.
  • Another stand at FreeEDem, a meeting about educational (free) software and free content. (At about 1 km from Fosdem)
  • The possibility to give a short general introduction speech at FreeEDem. We can probably reach there a broad public of teachers, educators, ...

What will be organized?

  • an info booth with stickers, t-shirts, maybe postcards, ...
  • an information session
  • a speech with RMS in introduction?

What do we need?

  • approval of fosdem organisers -> OK
  • people who want to run the info booth -> volunteers: please add your name to the Wiki
  • press releases
  • invitations for politicians -> Dieter will collect a list of email addresses
  • promotion material
  • an original action to gain press attention
